Dr. Kera Young
D.D.S. — Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Kera Young is a proud Florida native, born and raised in St. Petersburg, where her passion for caring for children and families first began. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Talladega College, graduating cum laude, before going on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors from Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry.
Following dental school, Dr. Young served her country as a member of the United States Navy, where she was awarded the Naval Achievement Medal and completed advanced training through an AEGD residency and Officer Leadership program. Her dedication to excellence continued as she pursued specialized training in pediatric dentistry, completing her residency at the University of Florida. Today, she is both Pediatric Certified and Board Certified, reflecting her commitment to the highest standards of care.

With over 30 years of experience in dentistry, Dr. Young brings a wealth of knowledge and a gentle, confident approach to every patient she treats. As a proud mother of three and dog mom to one, Dr. Young understands the importance of creating a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe and confident. Her approach to dentistry is rooted in compassion, education, and connection—taking the time to help both children and parents feel comfortable and informed every step of the way.
Dr. Young has extensive experience caring for children, adolescents, and patients with special needs, offering a full range of services including preventive, restorative, and sedation dentistry. She is deeply committed to community outreach, frequently visiting schools and local organizations to educate children on the importance of oral health through her engaging presentations.

A Tampa native with nearly half a decade of dentistry experience, he joined the practice in 2023 after discovering his passion for special needs pediatrics. He values building genuine connections with patients and families and creating a welcoming, supportive environment. His focus is on making every visit comfortable, positive, and personalized for each child. Outside of the office, you can almost always find him at the nearest theme park, fully embracing his role as a self-proclaimed theme park junkie.
